My changed aspect of leadership

Before I was in leadership class, I thought leaders were born, not made. I thought you have to have the genetics and the the out-going personality that the most people consider are "leaders." But that perspective of where a leader comes from definately changed for me, studying the different examples that we encountered during our first seven classes.  Before I was in the class I thought I could never be a leader because I thought I didn't have the DNA of a leader. From what I learned, a leader is not born with the ability to lead, but the practice and desire to lead. So now, I see myself as a potential leader in the Parish community. The people around me, my friends, peers, teachers, and parents from what I now see all have different expectations of what a leader really is. There are many different forms of leaders that are developed throughout the world. An obvious example is coach Nady, a leader of a football team and a very well respected man through many peoples eyes. A CEO, being a leader of a company. Lastly, an ordinary student, which having the desire to lead and to make a difference, also makes another leader.

Leadership challenge

A segment that I identified is, 'to make a difference', for as a leader is capable of changing an individuals future, in any shape or form. Most leaders are confined to make a difference, either good or bad, would effect another man. In my opinion, leaders are made. You might think that a person was bort with leading abilities, but where do you think they get the leadership abilities. They may learn it when they are just a little kid, or they may learn it form their junior high to senior high. Being a leader is a set of practice, where you observe from others and to learn to not make the mistakes from in which they observed. Leaders that are made learn from experience, and when they have the desire to become a leader and persistence to act daily, thats when the best leaders are made.
