My next Steps

In the next year, I have big shoes to step in. I will be a junior on the football team, and a lot of senior captains have gone into college. Next year, I want to become a captain on the football team, because all teams have to have a team captain to be successful. I want to be a team captain because I want to our football team to be successful, again. The things that I learned in class that would help me become the best leader possible, is to be a resonant leader. As I saw examples of a resonant and a dissonant leader, I quickly realized that resonant leaders are the best possible. Being self-aware, and doing what you say you would do, helped me identify what a true leader should symbolize. But the one important thing about being a leader, is to make (or desire to) make a difference.

  1. Griffin, I've enjoyed having you in class and look forward to supporting you as your leadership journey continues. I think you have it in you to be a difference-maker here at Parish.
You last two posts talk around the concept of being a resonant leader but miss its key elements. It is not so much learning from mistakes which is key but being "in tune" with those you lead. Hearing them well, presenting a vision that inspires, remaining cool in times of crisis -- are just some of the things about which we spoke.
You've made some nice progress this trimester. Let's continue the leadership journey!
